Somehow, internet means freedom. Confined with only p.c. on the desk, a person can find information about any subject anywhere. Distances were shortened: even miles away, two people can still talk or see each other through webcams and gadgetry. With the advent of the Internet, the whole world grown smaller, just a click away. And all possibilities turn into a brave new world for isolated people. As safe in their households, they can get in touch with people form the vicinity or faraway places. With non-applicable censorship, internet becomes the place to disclose their most secret inner-feelings - for all that, there's a website or forum that deals with the very sought after issue. That's why gays and lesbians, by and large, use the internet as a way to find likeable people.

Although sexual orientation achieved respect through tolerance, there are people who don't share those feelings yet. As a result, most gays seem reserved or don't expose their sexual choices - as afraid of retaliation. A grudge some people hold against freethinkers is highly detrimental and causes concern. There one can say what really wants and make friends, those who may share same doubts and feelings, finding the ever so-sought after tolerance non-existent in the real world as yet.
